“Ramin” won Grand Prize in Estonian Film Festival

The film (By Audrius Stonys) won Grand Prize for its social message and artistic achievement at the oldest annual film festival in Estonia Pärnu.XXVIII International Documentary and Anthropology Film Festival take place from July 14 to July 28, 2014.

Ramin is a veteran wrestler, perhaps the only wrestler in the world who has won seven opponents in mere 55 seconds. He lives alone in the town of Kvareli in north-eastern Georgia, an area famous for its red wines and its living tradition of folk wrestling festivals. In his youth he had no time for a family of his own. Now Ramin gets on the train and goes to the remote Kvenatkotsa to seek out his long lost love – Sveta. Will he find her? Will she remember him?
