Oddities of the North / Preview
The Nordic people are famous for a few odd features that have been part of their lifestyle for ages. In this episode two Latvians, Gustavs and Marta, get a closer look at three such 'oddities'. First, they suffer the extremes of burning heat and ice-cold water to feel like real Finns. After that they learn the human truth behind the myth about the violent Feroese people who slay whales just to wash their hands in whale blood. Having tried the meaty pleasures in a country where only grass and potatoes grow, they travel to Iceland - the land which is still in creation and which is the home of elves, trolls, aliens and other otherworldly creatures. After an encouraging conversation with an expert of the invisible world Gustavs and Marta head out to a glacier that holds the entrance to the center of the Earth.
